Hopefully the console is plywood backed...there are several ways but here is one idea...make a plug to fit the existing hole with a hole saw, fasten a plywood piece behind the hole with clamps, screws or glue. If you made the plug with a hole saw there will be a pilot hole that will guide the larger holesaw, that is one way to get a neat hole drilled. If you don't have the equipment to do this there are more ways to accomplish this task...tell me what tools you do have and I can figure out a way...just a Thought
