I was out cruising today, doing about 4000 RPM for 30 minutes. When I was 200 feet from my dock, I went down to 1000 rpm. Just when I reached the dock, the alarm sounded. I thought it might be overheat, so I shut the engine down. After 30 minutes of air cooling, the engine was not warm to the touch. I turned the key to 'on', and I still received the alarm. I pulled the oil level from the reservoir and cycled the level meter, but the alarm still stayed locked in. I removed both leads from the overtemp alarm but the alarm still stayed locked in. I tapped the throttle down a little, not into gear, but just down a little, and it stopped. I tapped it back up to center neutral and it went back on. Tapped it back down and it stopped. Any ideas????
