I've been boating a few years and have encountered my first serious mechanical problem. I took my boat into a dealer and they told me that I would need to replace my control box and cables. The bill would run about $600.<br /><br />I would like to know from someone if this sounds in line with the going rate for a job like this. I have a 1984 17ft Sylvan with a 1977 Evinrude, 115 hp.<br /><br />Thanks.
