Yamaha 2000 harness control box 25 horse power wires colors what purpose do they do,i have this wires but like to know if I can connect some of them in the 40 control box of a Johnson engine plug

i dont know yamaha wiring colours but id say it could be done.
Just use a multimeter to find out. Start by finding ground

Check the box as yamaha shifts like a merc not a Johnson as merc pulls and johnson pushes...

If your going to try and use box to shift and throttle engine check it as yamaha throttles like merc not johnson. Below is yamaha wiring colors as they dont follow industry standards....Wiring Color Codes for YAMAHA Outboard Motors.
