Control stick wont stay in position

The starboard engine control stick will not stay put in forward throttle position, especially when disengaged and controlling throttle only. For example, I'll start engine and throttle it up to idle about 1500 rpm, but when I let go of stick, the stick slowly returns to slow idle. Port stick is fine and holds well.

Is there an adjustment/fix or something for this?

Should be a 'friction' screw somewhere on the control...

I have those controls . . . very hard to fine tune. . . I'm not a fan of them.

I'm not sure if there is any adjustment, but is it really an issue in terms of advancing the throttle in neutral? Does it also throttle back when in gear?

If you pull the cover off of the control unit there should be two adjusting screws in the top corners of each unit (or at least the closest thing that that they have to corners). They go in from the sides. One adjusts the indent and the other adjusts the friction on the lever. I'm afraid that I can't remember which one is which.

Yeah it does, but slowly. There is definitely more holding friction when drives are engaged.

Thanks! I'll have to pop the cover and look for the adjustments next time I'm down at the boat.
