Attached is the rat's nest that makes the connections from my controller to the harness that goes to the motor. Been in place since 1982 with no problems. However, if there were a problem it would be a PITA to diagnose, get at and repair.
The wiring is inside the console but the console is open to the elements (salt water) on both sides.
Anything I should be doing in the way of preventative maintenance to minimize future problems? Silicone spray once in awhile? WD 40? Some sort of cover/shield?
