Force motors use 50-1 or 6 gal.gas to 16oz. oil.

To all the Britts and our Aussey friends.
How does this convert in the metric system???

One of the other posters from a different country(not sure where)asked.
I used a conversion table but want to make sure.

Re: Conversion.

Many of our metric friends buy gasoline (petrol) by the liter (litre). 50 to 1 is still 50 to 1. One liter per 50 liters of gas or 1/2 liter (500ml) per 25 liters of gas.

A liter is slightly more than a quart so 25 liters is a bit more than a quart over 6 gallons. 500 ml is slightly more than a pint.

Re: Conversion.

Ditto on Franks comments. We are on the metric system and we still use the same ratio's as mentioned.
The gallon to liter ratio (or vice versa) depends on the book you look in to reference your info. I think it varies from 3.8 litres to 1 U.S gallon or 4.4 litres to a 1 (British) gallon...if memory serves correct.
So 5 gallons (U.S) of gas is about....say just about 19-20 litres for us up here in Canada.
(note: they also price it per litre at the gas pumps up here which is often confusing for our U.S visitors trying to do the math on it).
All good

Re: Conversion.

you do see different scales sometimes that make you scratch ya head and think which one is right...seen 3.7 lt=1 gall,
l was still in school ( early 70's ) when we changed over and l still remember 4.5 lts =1 gal being chanted parrot fashion in thetech school l went to...but who knows now??
they ain't called that anymore now and that one was pulled down years ago and now has $500k + houses on the footy ground

anywho.. the above measurements are much the same as l use
