Convert Df40 to DF50

Can anyone advise what is different between the Suzuki DF40 and DF50. Is it possible to upgrade the DF40 to DF50 specs and what parts are needed.

G'day, John.<br /><br />Welcome to iboats. <br /><br />It is surely possible to make the DF40 into a DF50. It would probably cost more than trading.<br /><br />Among the things that might be different:<br />Intake, cams, cylinder head, ECU (hardware and firmware).<br /><br />As the displacement is the same on both I doubt that you would gain significant performance in the real world.

JB, thanks for the reply. I checked the parts manuals for the components you mentioned and they do have different part numbers, indicating the cams and ECU (and increased revs) are the major changes. You are probably right that it would cost too much to convert and maybe not worth the power gain anyway. Thanks again.
