convert from manual tilt to assist

I want to install a tilt trim unit or gas assist unit to my manual DT40 suzy.

A; is it possible $$$ australian

B; what is gas assist, is it worth it and how much.

Gas assist is just a cylinder to help uou raise the motor up. It has nothing to do with T&T that I know of. This will give you an idea of whay aftermarket T&T units cost in the US. http://www.iboats.com/Marine_Store/...-submit.y.6--submit.x.31--search_type.keyword

a 40hp lifts up with no effort even with one hand ..... that is why they one start to really make PT&T for 60hp and up .....

only looking as my missus is keen to get into boating now that i have one of my own. all the other boats i have been involved in have been lekky start and trim tilt jobbies.
