Convert Tiller Steer to Remote Control

I have a 1998 model 40hp Johnson tiller steer outboard. Can it be converted to remote control? If so how difficult is it to DIY and what parts do I need? I know how to do the steering part just interested in the throttle / gear change part.<br /><br />Thanks<br />John

I did it with a 15hp a while back very straight forward, the parts guy at the OMC dealer had a kit with everyting needed for the conversion.<br /><br />Mac
