Converting 75hp Mariner to 90 HP

I heard that it is possible to convert a 75 hp to 90 hp. Is it really possible by carbs and the jets and what is the procedure?

Hi,

If memory serves me well the port timing is different.
So it will not work if I remember correctly.

The 2 engines use the same block, crank rods and pistons the 75 hp uses smaller reed plates and different jetting they can be changed, go to the Bam Marine site and look up the engines they are in the same book and are easy to compare the parts differences.
