I came accross this article about a man who converted a 1987 Formula 23 foot cuddy into a bowrider.

Just wanted to share for those who may not have seen it. The end result looks pretty impressive. Totally factory looking. :thumb:

Seeing that gets me to thinking . . . Since getting rid of my 1991 F-242SS, I have been wanting to take an early 1990's F-292 and do a 'Sun Sport' conversion on it. I probably would have to quit the day job though . . .

How do you get into the bow area? Crawl under the windshield?

It is a little tough to tell from the series of pictures in the article . . .but . . . it looks like it has a small 'mid-cabin' section where you crawl through, that also doubles as the head, with a pull-out pottie and door enclosures.

I'm trying to see if there is a more detailed write-up on the project somewhere on the Internet.

Every time I see that bow seating setup on a boat I get this irresistible urge to infill it will expanding urethane foam, throw some vinyl wrapped decking over it, plant a pedestal seat on it, and mount a trolling motor on the bow!
