I was wondering is there any after market products that will convert a manual start outboard motor to a electric start . I have a 35 hp mecury manual start motor, and would like an electric starter for it.

A serial number or year would help since we have no idea how old your engine is.

But the answer is no. You can get certain parts aftermarket, but not all. Not enough to constitute a whole kit. That would be a factory item.

Starter, solenoid, ignition switch, and battery cables. Using your serial number, go to the Mercury Marine web site, click on Parts Express, enter your serial number and then look for the parts you need. Some you will be able to get aftermarket, some not. Either way, the cost to do this with new parts will probably make you change your mind.
