1996 3.0 LX Mercruiser A1 Outdrive<br />When I am in the water, once my rpm's get to about 4000 my tach pegs out at max. The engine itself is not changing idle speed. Any ideas??
bad tach but more likely bad connection to tach on my 1995 3.0 if i wiggle the plug on the back of the tach it reads good again for a long time but no amount of connection cleaning has made for a perment repiar i may have to break down and get a new one when it gets two anoying<br /><br />tommays
