1986 Force 50HP
Took it out last weekend, Saturday everything was great. Sunday, water flowing from **** tube on initial start. Ran to fishing hole, stopped pumping out of **** tube once idled back. Started again after 20 minutes, water flowing from tube and out of exhaust no problems. When WOT, was pumping water but didn't appear to be full stream. Once again, idled back, water stops flowing.
Replaced impeller 2 months ago.
Pulled thermostat today, checked, opens at 130 degrees. Fired motor up, water flowing from exhaust but not the **** tube.....steam escaping from tube but no water. Removed thermostat, it was wide open. started motor w/o tstat, water flowing from exhaust but not **** tube.
I read that the water channel leading to the p tube may be clogged. Any idea how to unclog it?
Does this indicate that the water pump assembly and not just the impeller is bad. Second impeller within a year. First one wasn't bad, but replaced it anyway.
