Cooling system

I need help i have recently purchased a bass boat it needs some work on this boat it had a 79 chrysler 115hp. I have repalced the thermostat and the water pump and impeller. when it starts no water comes out and im all out of ideas.

Did you remember to replace the impeller drive key? Are you certain it did not slip out of the shaft keyway when you slid on the new impeller?

Hello and welcome do you have a bee hole? some of the older Chrysler don't have one;) most likely Frank would know.

i did repalce the keyway i know that for sure. as far as a bee hole i dont know any thing about that. the water tube seems to be it good working order. is there any other way that the water goes from the pump to the cooling jacket. or is there a blockage problem some where.

Are you testing on the water or on muffs?the bee hole is a smal tube that comes some wear at the cowling and you get a bee from it and the intake is on the LU on the sides some slots on the side

im doing it on ear muffs ill have to check fo the bee hole. this is my first boat that i have ever bought so i realy want to get it back to orginal condition

Try using a very large plastic tub from Wal Mart instead of the muffs. Get the tub water above the cavatation plate. Some engines do not like muffs.

sucsess this engine is not a fan of ear muffs it took a big tub and now she running like a top and sounds like a beast thanks for everyones help pics will soon come when she is compleated
