Didnt want to head a new thread with "Pisser"so......
As elsewhere stated a million or so times the pisser is not an honest indication that the motor is actually getting enough cooling water..... so why is it where it is ? Wouldnt it be better coming from the t/ stat cover(s) . I am thinking of moving mine there. It might take a tad longer to produce than its current position but you would know for sure that the water was making it right thru the motor.🙂

Just to give some operators the Warm Fuzzies that the Water Pump is operating.
On its late inline 6s, Mercury put the fitting to provide water for the pisser at the top of the Block, earlier inline 6s had the outlet on the Water Jacket cover between Cylinders 3 and 4

Get a pressure gauge and a temp gauge
Holy superfluous apparatus Scottus 😁
fine while your puddling about in the driveway but unless you plumb them up to the dashboard ..... hard enough keeping one eye on the pisser whilst on the move .....and thats another thing ....why is it so "discrete " way down there where you can hardly see it ...should be squirting out the side a bit more.
My Honda has a buzzer that sounds pretty quick when theres no water
Oh and another nother thing ...the oil pressure light is normally on and goes out when there is no oil pressure ....must be the only engine on the planet that does that 🙄🙄🙄

You are supposed to plumb them to the dashboard. I run one on my boat. Plumbed with the same pitot tube line as the speedo

The sierra line is made by VeeThree down here in Florida
