copression test results???

Volvo Aq170a #1-180 #2-200 #3-190 #4-200 #5-180 #6-200 the shop manual says that it should be 170psi. Could this be carbon build up causing me not to be able to get boat to run wot? What other symptoms could carbon build up cause?Engine noises and pings ect.???

Have you adjusted the timing lately, or done any ignition work? Low octane gas can cause pinging also.
