4.5 Evinrude 1984 ESRHCRM

Omc's on line part diagram say Champion QL77JC4
Evinrude 2013 Parts & Accessories Catalog say Champion QL86C
Champion Catalog say QL86C
Intertek service manual say QL77JC4
OMC's service manual say QL77JC4
Another OMC'S catalog say QL86C

Geberal rule :

Original and older littératures QL77JC4

Newer littératures QL86C

Do Evinrude made and update or change in the '80's or '90's ?

Which is the best ?

Thank You

You have misread the model number . Thet should be a "5" not an "S" ............ E5RHCRM

The currently recommended plugs are QL86C, gapped at 0.030"
If you detected any difference in use between them and QL77JC4 I'd be extremely surprised
