hello. I have a 21foter with a mercruiser. 5.0 mpi 260 hp, Bravo one 1.65:1 . With a mirage plus 23 pitch. Max rpm is 5000. I get almost 4800 rpm and 58 mph. I had hoper to Get 60 Or more. Are there some brands that are faster than others. What is the best and fastest for me ? What model, brand and pitch should I go for.

Re: correct and fast proppel

Tell us about your 21 footer.
The numbers for your present setup are really good ;4800 rpm @ 58 mph works out to 8% slip.
Is your speed by gps?
Unfortunately I'm not the guy to help you squeeze out a couple of mph when your already at 58.
Someone may be along with a suggestion for a prop or trick to gain a little more.
If you have a doelfin on the outdrive removing it may help. If you have trim tabs release them all the way.
If your hauling around un necessary weight getting rid of it may help.
Is the bottom clean and smooth?

Sounds like an ideal prop already, 58mph on gps is good speed for that setup.

I know your probably just trying not to be long winded but a "Regal 2100" isn't much help.
Some of us probably know what it is but most probably don't. Especially with no date/age.If we had the date we could probably look it up.At this point its probably not that important. If I told you I had a ,18ft. Crestliner Voyager,You would probably figure 1000 -1400 lbs
when it actually weighs 375 lbs.As far as I l know Your Regal might be light and fast or a bigger perhaps off shore hull or maybe a
cuddy cabin. This isn't really aimed at you just those that need to be more clear about their boat in their post.
Ok I'll shut up.
