It is time to replace the coil and plug wires on my Mercruiser 4.3l tks. The local dealer I usually buy from is currently closed so I bought a set from Amazon. They arrived today, and I notice the part number doesn't match what is listed in the manual, and the wires are black instead of blue. The part number in the manual is
84-863656A04
and the part number of the set I received is
84-816761Q16

My fault, these are the ones I ordered, they're Mercruiser and labeled on the box "Fits GM V-6 CID engines with Thunderbolt IV ignition (1985 and newer)", which is the engine i have. Why the difference, and are these ok to use?

Actually, these are Quicksilver brand, which, I believe, is made by Mercury, if that matters. Forgot to mention in my original post.

I would return them and use the recommended blue wires. They provide max voltage,Protects electronics/rfi/emi when compared to standard hypalon. I couldn't even link the two kits by cross reference.

I'm having difficulty finding the correct kit with matching serial number. Does anyone happen to know of a source? I'm striking out on Amazon, and the one source I found on Google with the correct serial number had a picture showing the exact same kit, black wires, that I have now. Any help is appreciated.
