I have a 84 for model 90hp johnson V4 bought a thermostat kit about a month ago and finally installed it today. Infrared thermometer shows the power head temp to be about 140-150 degrees now.It didnt occur to me to check the temp before. Does this seem about right? Or too Hot? Im pretty sure I installed the correct one. There apparently has been no thermostat in it for at least the 3 yrs I have owned the boat. What temp should this thermostat open?
