Correct Spark Plug for 3.0LX ??

Bought new plugs for my '96 3.0LX and wonder if I got the right ones? The new Champion RS12YC's have a tapered seat with the Cyl Head, but the old NGK's I took out have the old style aluminum washer for that seal. Are both seal styles OK, or might I have an older Cyl Head on my engine that requires the alum washer?? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard!

The two styles of plugs are not interchangeable.

I would suggest replacing the NGKs that you took out with the same NGK plug.

My 3.0 LX only runs at its maximum performance w/ AC MR43LTS all others I have tried have eighter fouled easily and or misfired eventually. I believe that all GM's perform best with the ac plug
