Corroded bimini snaps best repair method

I had listed another post about what to do so need some more ideas. I removed the old rivets, took 8 drill bits, cleaned old holes with vinegar and water then denatured alcohol, sanded the surrounding area, got nearly all the corrosion out of the pitted area, and sealed with westsystem.

Intensions are to sand down epoxy, clean, and prime and paint then add new stainless rivets and snaps.

Does this sound like a good idea, you guys know best. Thanks in advance.
