corrosion(electrical)

i have corrosion on the plug end of the cord for fish finder. not the pin side. how can i clean them and what should i use? or should i go and buy a new cord?

wow, thats a tough one.very small openings.ask your wife or girlfriend for one of their emory boards, peel the grit off the board, and roll it. that should fit in the female openings of your plug. that should clean a good majority of it up for you, then use a good quality grease on the male pins before you plug it back togeather, and that should work. or try using a torch head cleaner, and again, the grease. good luck.....bob

tooth brush, vinegar then bakingsoda and water (neutralizes the acid)
