Help me please quick.
My son had a friend sleep over last night and in his sleep he peed on my new couch. What is the best way to clean it. We have already taken the covers off. I'm not sure what the fabric is called but it looks like suede leather "its not leather". I would rather not send the boys father a bill for new covers.
The boy feels so bad and my wife is in tears.
What a way to start the day

It's probably microfiber. Did it soak into the foam cushion?

I think microfiber is washable. My microfiber windbreaker is.

Might be safer to send it to the dry cleaner.

If it is new I'll bet the store that sold it can tell you how to clean it.

thats microfibe.....

just call the place that sold it to you.....

you can use pet stan remover.....but you might be able to throw ths cover in the wash machine......check the tag on the bottom of the couch.....

another way is a shop vac...wet/dry.....take a solution of water...(hot...boiling) in a plant mister.....spray the area..(dont totally soak it)....let sit for 30 seconds..and wet vac off....repeat....repeat.....

that is called steam cleaning......try on an inconspicous area first...your water ight discolor the sofa.

Best to send cover to a pro dry cleaner. I worked for a cleaning company and we used an enzyme based cleaner on human or animal created soil.If the urine has soaked into some type of foam the only thing to do is replace the damaged foam.

I have a bissell carpet cleaner with a smaller attatchment for smaller and hard to get at areas. It has worked wonders for us over the years. Use the "pet" shampoo that you can get for it and you should have great results.

Well this is what we did seeing how we don't have a any kind of dry cleaners up here. We took the cushion covers off. I "yuck" hand washed the worst stain with baking soda and water for the smell. Then put all of the covers in the wash on gentle cycle with 1/2 cup of vinegar for the the pee smell and 1 tea spoon of lemon juice for the vinegar smell. We then hung them up in the bathroom to dry.
Boy i hope we didn't wreck them.
PS we took the boy home to his family. The mother was so upset and the dad bewildered. We told them and my son not to bug him or punish him for this as it could scar him for life.
Man what a morning

That sucks !!!! we have not used ours for over a year but it is there if we ever need it again. It has basically been redundant since we went "hardwood"
