keeps coughing at low speeds have replaced reed plates top seal another carby still persistant coughing no differance when adjusting low speed jet

Hello abalone, welcome aboard iboats....<br /><br />Tell ya' what you might try, with the engine running, idle will do, dribble some carb cleaner along the seams where the crankcase is bolted together and any place where there are seams.<br /><br />Nuther trick....put a piece of clear tubing between the fuel pump and carb. Start the engine and watch the flow of fuel through the tube. What your looking for is air bubbles. If you see any, your sucking air someplace.<br /><br />Could you post a year or model number? This would help know what you have.<br /><br />Thanks.
