Has anyone every done this? Any problems? Sometimes these motors are available for less money than the standard rotation. Thanks in advance.

Re: Counter Rotating Motor as a single setup

It will work fine. The used prop selection may be somewhat less but no big deal. Its getting more and more common and they can be converted with simply another gearcase. The late model ones can be converted with a gear set and related parts.

The ones I would shy away from is the old Second Effort c/r where the powerhead ran backwards. They were OK in their day but parts are almost impossible to find anymore. By now they are quite rare.

Good luck!
