hey guys just getting through first winterizing on my 96 force by mercury 40 horse. only had the toon out once when we bought it but run good ,when changing the lower end gear lube, will regular o rings work on the drain and fill screws or do i have to get from dealer, second since this motor is a 96 do I have to use a 20 pole tach or not? thx the reason im asking about the tach wot on the water it only reads 1900 rpms its the original tach and motor on the toon I know its reving higher than that but not sure where to start . got all winter tho thx for all your help in advance ken

I think it's best to use the correct seals from a dealer for the drain and fill screws. I've always heard that Force outboards use a 20 pole tack.
