Hey, VP 4.3GS PKLD with SX-M Drive here. My coupler gave up the ghost last weekend and I'm having a tough time getting the dead coupler off of the flywheel. The coupler is shaped in a way that you cant get at the nuts from the top, so putting a socket and breaker bar on it is out of the question. You can only get at the nuts from the side so basically I'm limited to open-end or box wrenches. To make matters worse there's a flange nut on there with a lip so it's hard to even get the box wrench on there.

I've used the normal complement of penetrating oil, snake oil, olive oil, etc. What's the best tool to get those nuts off?

Even my long wrenches are letting me down, I'm putting enough torque on there to turn over the engine. Any tips?

with the motor out and sitting on the shop floor, put a box wrench on it and smack the wrench with a hammer

if your simply trying to grunt it over, jamb a block of wood between the flywheel teeth and a section of the block casting to prevent the motor from turning.
