Hi folks was wondering is there a tech school etc. that could bring a person up to speed on testing the electronics on older OMC'S SAY MID 80'S TO 90'S MOTORS. I have acquired several items of testing equipment DVA peak volt meters, mercotronics tester, stevens instruments testers and other equipment, I would like to receive training on the proper use of this equipment as it now mostly just takes up shelf space, I do not wish to open a shop or run a business I just want to know how to use the equipment for my and my friends boats and motors, Does anyone know of such training available ?
any advise appreciated.
tks

Kodi, check out CDIelectronics. They offer courses on electronic ignition testing. I tried to attend one a couple years ago but it was in Florida and a bit expensive for me.

Get an OEM service manual from around that year, will give you plenty of input as well as diagrams. Unfortunately in a few cases they refer to the 'instrument manual'.
