We just bought a 2003 Bayliner Trophy Pro 2052 Fishing Boat. Everything works great, but the courtesy lights stay on when the battery switch is in "Off" position. I suspect this is because of corrosion somewhere in the system causing the cabin wiring harness system to remain open. Has anyone experienced this problem and where do you think we should look first to find the source of the problem? Thanks for any help!

Any extra wires attached to the positive terminal of the battery?

"Open" circuits do not cause lights to work -- it causes them to not work. The lights are getting power from somewhere other than the load side of the battery switch. Very likely a separate wire from the courtesy light switch to the battery directly or another circuit that remains powered with the battery switch OFF.

You either have another battery powering the courtesy lights, OR your present battery switch is wired incorrectly. There are no other possibilities...
