The previous owner sealed the cover in the floor over the gas tank (about 2' by 4') with silicone, and I'm trying to get it un-stuck. Both are fiberglass. I'm trying to get some wire past the cover then around the lip in the floor so I can grab both sides of the wire. I plan to trying holding the inside end of the wire through the small fuel gauge sender access hold, then pull the wire along the gap between the cover and the floor to cut through the silicone. My problem is that I can't get the wire around the lip. I'm wondering if there is some sort of flexible blade-like tool that can bend around the lip so I can get a hole started. Any thoughts - other ideas?

You might try a hax saw blade or band saw blade. Good luck!

nope its all fun. wait till you get one that was bedded with 5200. they are the most fun ones. just takes time and paitence to dig out all you can. acetone may help break the seal.
