Hi,
Looking for replacement for a 2003 150hp johnson #5005011 or one that will fit. Also would like to know of anyone who repairs plastic cowls.
Many thanks.

I have to see actual see pictures as well. But since it is already damaged, what do you have to loose trying to repair it? I mean if it works out, you not only saved money, but learned something as well. And if it doesn't work out, you still learned something. Regardless of the material it is made out of, there are repair material for anything these days...plastics included. JMHO

I have use "BONDIC" to repair broken bolt tabs on the ETEC lower plastic housing then cover up the "welds" with pieces of fiverglass cloth inbedded with permatex PLASTIC WELD

Bondic is an instant weld UV glue for plastics (works just like dental repair putties your dentist uses and hardens it in 2 seconds with a UV light . )

auto body supply shops also have special seringe glues for glueing cracked plastic bumpers ... it mixes like epoxy glues

saved me thousands of $$$

@Crosbyman, is exactly correct about auto-paint stores having the proper kits to repair "plastic" issues. But you first need to verify the type "plastic" you need repaired to get the correct two part kit. The auto-paint type stores should be able to help with that issue as well. I was amazed at the numbers of "plastic" repair kits they had available for different types "plastics" that are presently used on vehicles these days.
