I have a 67 merc. 85 horse the motor runs but doesnt idle it has a 1 inch cracked hole in the front lower part of the block. Im a experienced certified welder and i was maybe going to try to weld it back. I know it probaly cast or forged aluminum but what is the best repair for this. I have it on a old nylox speed boat any info would be appriciated or if anyone interested in this motor for parts give me a e-mail at bob22wi@hotmail.com
