Scary words to any boat owner. Well, its happened to me. Anyone ever attempt a patch/repair? Someone suggested to me that certain resins may do the trick. I've also read about flame spray welding. (not sure that's my game). The crack is on the outside of the water jacket. So ... possible?

Re: Cracked block

Any crack that is not directly related to the combustion or exhaust area can be patched via heli arcing or by using "Gray Marine-Tex" or "JB Weld" to mention a few cures.

It depends on exactly where the crack is. It would help if you would state what engine you're speaking of, and define where the crack is.
