Cracked Engine Block - should I buy boat?

I am looking at purchasing a 1994 Crownline 210 CCR. It was not properly winterized and the result was a cracked engine block. The current owner had a tehcnician repair the crack (flat spot near freeze plugs). Is this a common repair process and does it last?

Most of the time if there is a crack on the outside...there is a crack on the inside. Take the boat out and run it...then check the engine oil for water.<br /><br />This boat seems like a gamble.<br /><br />TMD
