Cracked inner transom plate.

Things were rolling along smoothly with my type I to alpha I conversion. Then as I tightened my bottom left annode bolt on the inner transom plate... SNAP. I put a crack in the bottom left corner of the plate. Is this serious? Do I need to replace the interior transom plate?

You probably need to replace the transom. It's probably rotten, which allowed the rotten wood to collapse and crack the plate.

Ayuh,.... Unless you can take it out,+ Weld it back together...
