Crank Pulley Wobble

Hi everybody! I finally felt well enough to play with the boat and noticed one of my engines has a wobble in the crankshaft pulley. I also seem to detect belt squeal. The wobble is most noticeable at idle and hard to detect over say 1K rpm. Bolts seem tight. Engine is SBC 350 is is only a couple of seasons old. Maybe 40 hrs total on it. Pulley was a leftover from the rebuild and the Harmonic Balancer was new. I bought 2 remaned short blocks and swapped tin, pulley etc as needed. Any suggestions?

MIne has raised bumps that center the two bottom pulleys when you put them together. Mabe they are not centered.

Re: Crank Pulley Wobble

I would try to take it off (check pulley for roundness when off) and spin it around a couple of bolts holes and try that. If still messed up then it is time to pull the balancer and see if from sitting and the tension of the belts didn't pull it off somehow. Never seen it happen but pulleys don't bend themselves.
