Remember, this advice is free, so consider it as such.<br /><br />I would think the motor weight would be a too heavy, even if the HP is not there. I have never owned a crawdad, but my friend had one, and that sounds like a lot of motor for the boat.<br /><br />Remember, if it exceeds the coast guard plate rated capacity, if you have any accident or anyone gets hurt on your boat, you pretty much own all the liability and the fines to go with it too, if they find out about your motor/boat combo. Lawyers will eat you alive, I had a friend that it happened too.<br /><br />If it were me, I would try to sell the motor and get the proper size, or upgrade the crawdad to a larger boat.
