Is this a good product to spray down my hubs, etc. to help prevent corrosion from constantly being dunked in salt water?

MH

IMHP i just keep some never seize or allmost any grease an the lug nut studs once a year and spray down with a LOT of fresh water after every use

the spray is just going to leave a nice oil slick around your boat when you launch

its really to protect metal things inside you boat that get damp and stop surface rust from starting

i have found that once the galvanized coatings or paint start to fail there is not much you can do but sand it down and refinish but fresh water washing will extend that time a lot

tommays

I spray my hubs and wheel nuts with a motorcycle chainwax (Maxima or Motorex are good)... it protects from corrosion and doesn't wash off at the ramp. We are not allowed to use hoses here in Sydney due to stage 2 water restrictions so I did experiment at bit and found the wax works well. Just my 0.02c worth.

I use grease and spray foam mcy lube on my hubs, lug nuts and springs. However, I've been using CRC Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor on all other nuts, bolts, clamps, supports, axle and trailer frames. It drys and leaves a slight amber film that lasts dozens and dozens of dunkings without washing off. It doesn't leave a film on the water or rub off when you brush against it. The cheap gold colored electroplated u-bolts on my 1996 Continential pontoon boat trailer still look near new after all these years of use in saltwater (but rinsed in fresh after use)...it takes 3 cans to do a 20' trailer. I used it on an aluminum airplane tied down in harsh salt atmosphere with A1 results too. Good stuff.

I use the stuff on my trailer copiously. Great for longer periods of time than alot of sprays. I also found it to be great when you are out of Pam. Just spray those pie pans and those suckers just slip right out. No after taste or smell.

Yep, that is the exact spray I bought. I was just using it on my hubs and lug nuts, but have since realized I should have been using it in a lot of other places as well! It's hard to get it in behind the hubs, though. Thanks for all the great advice!
