I'm going to be pulling the stereo from below the glove box and moving it to an under dash mount by the steering wheel. This will leave me with a nice size hole on the port side. I'm trying to come up with ideas as to what I can do with the hole. Sure, I can fill it and have nothing, but what use would that be? I'm interested in thoughts or creative uses for said hole... So, thoughts? Ideas?

If you like fishing, a nice slide out tackle box.

Cover plate....
This can be smooth plastic, metal, wood... painted whatever way or vinyl wrapped... Whatever you think looks good.

It can be attached with screws or with outdoor mounting tape or whatever ......

I personally would leave the radio there and upgrade it to a unit with a remote. sure beats smacking your knees into a radio

My radio is in the glove box but has Bluetooth so I can control what I am listening to and the volume from my phone.

The stereo is a sony with remote, but I plug my phone into it and play the music from my phone. The tackle idea is a great one, if I fished out of the boat, but I do not. I really did think about making an ice chest opening there.

I went with Scott's idea and left it alone. The underdash mount was all into the steering and it was a mess. I bought a remote and a long 3mm cable to plug my phone into so I could control everything from the driver's seat.
