Hi all<br /><br />I recently converted the powerpack iginition on this motor to a car amplifier system. First time out when I ran in the water it accelerated fine. I stopped did some fishing and then when I tried to move again, it slowly accelerated (creeped) up to high rpm.<br /><br />I am trying to figure what is causing this.<br /><br />My concerns:<br /><br />Timing is out of adjustment ( pretty sure it needs to be adjusted) but would it act this way?<br /><br />Burned points. Ignition conversion instructions were unclear about the need for a ballast resistor with amplifier. I did not use one and wondering if I could have burned the points and if so, would it act this way?<br /><br />All help is greatly appreciated
