OK, here are some of the particulars.
Webbcraft-1989, Mercruiser engine and outdrive, immaculate inside and out, 23 footer, bimini, full custom cover, through hull, trim tabs, perfect tandem trailer w/brakes. 86 hours.

Crestliner-1985, Mercruiser engine and outdrive, immaculate (maybe more so than the Webbcraft), 23 footer, looks to me like its all fiberglass (set up for fishing), full rear bimini enclosure-like new, perfect trailer w/brakes & electric winch. 190 hours.

Both are cuddys. The Webbcraft is beautiful, better seating, only 86 hours, but the Crestliner is all fiberglass. To me all fiberglass seems like a huge plus. The Crestliner also has a huge amount of storage area. I know nothing about Crestliner boats.

Thank you in advance for any input!

Re: Crestliner vs. Webbcraft

Well I'd need some pictures to really give an opinion but Crestliner has been around forever and makes good boats. However, even though it appears to be all fiberglass, I'm reasonably sure there are still wooden stringers and a wooden transom in it. So check the condition of the deck and transom in each boat very carefully looking for softs spots/rot. Also, neither of these happen to have a Mercruiser 470 do they?

Re: Crestliner vs. Webbcraft

The Webbcrafts are outstanding boats that were made in Oklahoma (Claremore maybe?). They were on par with Cobalt, Wellcraft, Mark Twain, etc through the 70's and 80's. They fell to the slumping demand during the 80's and had to close down, but the boats were always great looking. I'm sure the crestliner has wood underneathe the fiberglass as was mentioned before. The Webbcrafts used a lot of teak on some of their models too, which takes some minor maintenance, but looks great.
