To all you cooks out there. How long would it take to cook a 3.5 pound bird in a crock pot?

Thanks!

Thanks. The wife and kid are hitting the mountain bike trails as we speak. They're getting ready for a big race this weekend, seriously. She said she was going to roast the chicken when they got back. I thought about maybe throwing it in the crock now and have it ready for supper. All we would need is the fixin's..........

Add you tators, carrots, and celery to the mix, maybe even a couple maters, quartered. Now your talkin not just yard bird, but whole meal. Someone will earn some brownie points ...

They just walked thru the door. Wasn't sure how set she was on a roasted bird. She saw it in the "pot" and said, "I never thought of that, you're such a good guy".:D

On the rare occsions my wife says something like that I mark it on the calendar!

Yeah, probably only would get to make a half a dozen marks on the calendar for the year, if I'm lucky. lol

Leftovers are gone. Made a couple sammies with cheese and garden fresh tomatoes for lunches. Thanks for all the advice...;)

A pork Boston Butt is good in the CP too w a bottle of your fav. bbq sauce.............but not so healthy as the chicken, if your trying to get in in racing shape ! we season and cook it for 4-6 hours until it falls off the bone, then remove, pull apart, drain the fat, return the meat and add bbqsauace to the pot for a few more hrs on low. some liquid smoke makes it taste almost genuine.
