crysler1979 700 skier outboard/electrical parts

there is a unit on this motor witch is belt driven from the fly wheel. at the bottom of this unit there is a distrubtor cap i cant find this part or any other parts like the belt itself needs replaced. is there a site with a motor breakdown of these units so i can identify what they are>

The whole assembly unit is distributor used in Magnapower ignition system. The cap underneath with 3 wires to spark plug and one to coil is the distributor cap.
I don't think you can find it new since these parts no longer available but you can find a used one at junk yard or from old Chrysler motor. I have a couple spare for my engine.

try www.crowleymarine.com they have some distrubutor parts, including the belt you need. on the drop down select force and that will take you to chrysler good luck don

ty for the info..that is the belt i need from crowleys marine. alot of the parts are no longer available..but ty for responding... i have twin engines...bad enough trying to keep one running. but 2 of them gets a little exspensive. part of owning a boat i guess. ty again

What is the proper spark plug gap for this motor?

No gap! Proper plug is UL 18 V or L 20 V surface gap plug.
