cultured marble

A freind has a cultured marble counter top and needs it cut.can you cut it with a skill saw and a diamond blade??

You can call Gawet Marble in Vermont at 802 773-8868 and ask. <br /><br />I know that if too much heat is generated it can splinter. Most is cut using a saw blade (like a hack saw blade) and water as a cooling lubricant.

Did some marble flooring (12" squares) cut it with a wet saw, and it still splintered a bit. Don't know how a dry saw will work.
