Did some horse trading recently and I am begining to regret it. A fellow came here, seen my old tri-toon and wanted it badly. I ended up taking his bass boat and a couple bucks on the side in exchange. I was adamant that the toon was an unknown, I had never even removed the cowling on the O/B, I hadn't ever had it in the water and had no idea what its condition was, blah, blah, blah. Wrote a bill of sale and expressly said "as is - where is" and that I warranted NOTHING. What you see is what you get.
Everyday since then I've gotten at least one, some times two or three calls from him with him telling me every little thing he's doing on the boat. My answering machine will let you talk for two or three minutes and he'll fill the time up and is still talking when he gets cut off. Not that he is asking to bring it back, he just wants me to know what's wrong with it, at least what he thinks is wrong. He's rewelding all the welds on the trailer becasue they don't "look" strong enough to him. The fact the trailer has been doing its job for a couple decades means nothing, they looked weak.
I swear I'm at the point I want to scream "I don't care, go away and leave me alone"! Ah the "joy" of owning your own business...
