CUT IN EXHAUST BAFFLES-Can this cause the boat to leak?

I have an Alpha One outdrive. I inspected the bellows and couldn't find any cuts in the U-Joint or shift bellows. I did find a cut in the exhaust bellows but someone told me that a cut there can't cause the boat to leak. The cut is 1.5 inches long.<br /><br /><br />Thanks,<br />Trent

Hey Trent, I think your friend is right. Assume your sure the leak is behind or under the engine? I had a skiff with a bad drain plug/hole. A little teflon tape on the plug made all the difference. Might be worth checking it. Art

Exhaust aint going to be the leak. Had to answer...Wonder why?
