Hi all.
Just want to say thanks for being here, I?m new to boating and I?ve learned a lot from reading here the past few weeks. Had a 1979 MT Vsonic 16? i/o with MCM 140 motor given to me. The hull decking and transom are sound. The gages work except for trim and fuel I think that?s just wiring the interior is a mess. So I?m going to fix her up starting with the engine. Pressure tested the block and found it to leak behind the exhaust manifold. Block had the crack in the usual spot cleaned it all up JB welded it up. Did a vacuum test this time on the water jacket and this time air was leaking through the number two cylinder intake valve guide. I?ve searched forums but have not found anything on valve guide water leaks just oil and oil seals. Do you think this could be fixed by resleave the valve guide? I took the head off and don?t see any visible cracks.
Thank, Caleb

remove the valve and look again, betting a rotted hole thru the head in the port area.
